Covid-19 Creative FOMO

Ever since the outbreak of Covid-19, many people have faced the reality of depression and anxiety. This time has been incredibly eye-opening for creatives. For the past few months, the shelter in place orders have been limited or wholly uplifted in some states. In California, the fashion and entertainment industry is pretty much back with new procedures to keep sets Covid-19 free. Good news, right? Well, not every creative has been able to jump back into the game because some of us are at high risk of living with someone who is at high risk of contracting Covid-19. Staying home is not only responsible, but it is a safety measure. However, it has been hard to watch fellow creatives get back to work and work on unique projects.

 So what are we to do to fight FOMO(Fear of Missing Out) and depression?

Here are a few things that I have been doing to protect my mental health:

  • Find other ways to be creative. 
  • Take a break from Instagram 
  • Treat yourself to your favorite self-care routine
  • And remember, what you’re feeling is perfectly normal and valid.
